Thanks for being curious…
This is the 3rd year that Participaction is running it’s Canada-wide Participaction event. We participated last year and came in 53rd which is pretty darn amazing for our first time. Average participation for communities our size was 18 participants, our average was 125…let’s make that even higher this time around.
But this year, we’ve got a better chance to do more. Our 5 km walk/run is back! Whatever postal code you set up in your profile is where the activity minutes get collected.
Think about any events in our community – so those baseball and soccer games, walking the dog, yoga, exercise and dance classes, even gardening are all considered activity minutes. This year, Participaction is calling them move minutes.
So how do you get your minutes included in the total for the community?
Three easy ways:
- If you already have a fitbit, just link it to the Participaction App.
- Download the Participaction App and simply tap the icons to indicate the type of activity you did and the number of minutes you spent.
- If you don’t want to use your mobile phone, you can still enter your minutes on the Participaction website.
